Frequent bathroom use is often attributed to a swollen or enlarged prostate, but also may be an indicator of a particular type of sleep disorder: sleep apnea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n People who have sleep apnea experience frequent arousals during sleep – often as many as several hundred per night. These micro-awakenings generally are brief and not remembered, but occasionally they leave us wide awake in the middle of the night…and then we decide to use the bathroom.<\/p>\n When sleep apnea is successfully treated, sleep is deeper, more refreshing, and arousals are eliminated.
